Rochdale Town Hall is a Grade I listed building of exceptional interest, its dramatic Gothic exterior and jewel-like interior are in harmony and together they exemplify not only the apex of High Victorian design and suggest the beginning of the Aesthetic movement, but also represent Rochdale’s specific position on trade and politics. The building is a symbol of civic pride and as such is of national significance.
The new Welcome Gallery will set the tone, inviting new and existing visitors to explore their Town Hall.
The Town Hall has many stories to tell about the people and town of Rochdale, beginning with a display that gives voice to the people of Rochdale as they explain what their Town Hall means to them.
In the Great Hall, interpretation pods are designed to blend into the space with mirrored external surfaces housing an array of interpretation about this remarkable building.
Redman Design created bespoke mounts and worked alongside YourTrust to install the mounts and objects around the Town Hall.
